The Legacy Lives On- Val and Veritas Take Over

As my sister and I move into the latter part of our lives we have begun to wonder, is there something wrong with us? Or is it the men of today who have the problem?

I, the pretty sister, would like to point out that I have no problem with the men of today. I ignore them, they ignore me, it's a beautiful relationship. Valentine is the desperate one.

And this is why Rob Holguin has a restraining order? Because I'm the one who's desperate?!

Rob has no such restraining order! It's lies, all of it! And at least I'm not the girl who's everyone's dearest friend. :)

I can't help that!!! Anyway, we didn't come here to fight we came here to offer our thoughts on why guys are the way they are!

And hopefully Valentine here will learn proper punctuation somewhere along the way. Anyway, like she said, we didn't come to fight with each other. We have plenty of time to do that elsewhere. Um...What was our topic again?

Our topic was guys and the stupid things women do because they like them.

Case 1:  A young girl not much older then Veritas here, we will call her Ann, was dating this boy. Now then, this boy had no drivers' license and was, as far as I could tell, a pretty pathetic loser. On Valentines Day, Pathetic Loser calls Ann and asks if she could come get him and they could go out on a "special date." What Pathetic Boy fails to mention was that he was  GROUNDED and wasn't supposed to leave the house. So Ann picks up the Loser and they go to dinner, and on the way to the movie Loser gets a call from his MOTHER telling him he needed to come home ASAP. Ann, very curious at this point, asks Loser why he needs to go home. He then explains that he's grounded for talking trash to his mother and wasn't supposed to leave the house. Ann takes him straight home and drops him off, then she heads back to her house. When she arrives home, she finds out that Loser Boy's father has already called her father and   explained to her father the problem. This was what Loser boys father had to say: "Your daughter snuck my son out of the house and convinced him to go out with her tonight, knowing he was grounded. Your daughter is a terrible influence and is why my son is having all these problems at school, with alcohol, etc..." Ann's father gets off the phone and talks to her for a few minutes, then grounds her for 3 weeks for being an "accomplice" in the matter and for embarrassing the family.

Mom butts in:  I've always told you girls the way a boy treats his mother is the way he will treat you.  If  Loser talks trash to his mother, you are going to have to spend entirely too much time slapping him across the face.  Loser/Loser.  Run away.  In addition, any parent who is more concerned with their own embarassment than their child should be immediately taken out and shot.  Carry on....

Mum's in a bloodthirsty mood. Not that I don't agree with everything she said, of course! First of all, anyone older than me should not be dating boys who are too pathetic to have a license and/or a car. It shows lack of responsibility, and you don't want to date anyone who still has their mommy driving them around. As Dad just said, "I have a better chance of taming a wild mustang than making a thoroughbred out of a donkey."

My biggest problem here was, and I should've added this in, the way the girl instantly FORGAVE HIM and didn't break up with him. WHAT IS WRONG WITH GIRLS TODAY?! They have no self respect!! This guy obviously cares absolutely NOTHING for her or he would've never put her in the situation to begin with. And just why didn't he stand up for her when his parents decided it was all her fault? Why didn't he have the juevos to say, "She knew nothing about me being grounded and the way I have been acting is not her fault."

Um, because a girlfriend is a convenience and not a commitment? Seems obvious to me. Upon further thought, Mum's not so bloodthirsty after all. In fact, I happen to have a shotgun in the closet....

 Girls today?  Here is what is wrong with girls today:  They give every bit of the power they have away to boys and men who abuse them, condemning other girls to pay the price for their rank stupidity.  Women have ALL the power.  When all women refuse to put up with such crass nonsense, men must follow and accept because they need us.  When women allow such goings on, it enables men to treat us all like garbage.  You want a women's movement?  Take back the respect we used to own and pass the message on to the other girls. 

Mum? We're not here to rally women on a strike, are we? HOW COME NO ONE TELLS ME THESE THINGS?! I see one fatal flaw in your reasonings, though. You keep using the word "men." I don't think it applies to this case. MEN don't act that way. BOYS act that way. Boys of any age.

Okay, there needs to be a rally because if ALL women refused to be treated like this then there wouldn't be a problem. It's just like girls who don't want to have sex before marriage vs. those  who give it up. Guys of today think it is THEIR RIGHT to be able to sleep with their girlfriends. And when they meet one who isn't going to sleep with them they say to them, "Well if your not going to give it to me there are plenty of girls who will."  All guys have to do is "lower their standards" for a night and they can get it all they want. Guys are starting to think of girls like paper towels at a BBQ joint.  When they dirty up one and are through with it, they still have a whole roll left. If more girls stood up and insisted that guys treat them with the respect that they deserve we wouldn't be in the situation.

In a minute here, I'm going to burn my bra or something. :) I have a feeling we three can wax eloquent about this for hours to come, so let's move on. In the event Gran is reading, feel free to join in. 

Next on Stupid women, Stupid men, Stupid decisions, we will discuss those three little words that mean so much. "Let's Be Friends."

Men and women can never really be friend the sex thing always gets in the way. Hang in there girls and women their are men out there they are just hard to find.

I agree with the point that men and women can never have a completely pure relationship. And we plan to cover this very topic in our next rant! :)

You girls could rest easy if you just returned to the Biblical way of meeting "young men". Let your parents (and grandparents) be the ones to choose your dates...or mates. Just trust your elders to do what is best for you....so there you have my insight....

If I let you guys pick my "young man", I'd end up with Cody whats-his-face the sherriff's son! I retain the right to pick my own boyfriend, but I'll make sure y'all approve.

Oh, and Val's the exception. I'll be helping with the picking of her future husband.

Hey if I can't pick YOUR husband you can't pick MINE. And I technically wasn't picking, I was letting you pick from a list of good choices!!! This way it was just "narrowed down" for you, that's what older more experienced sisters do.

Uh huh...I'm kind of doubting that whole "more experienced" thing...we'll strike a deal, luv. You can have the final say on my husband if I can have the final say on yours. :)
