Willard's skinny, little body does not descend from my side of the family. His brother kept yelling, "Put a body on him, Willard!" and I said, "He might cut him with that bony butt!"
Noting the extension here, I'm not sure if Willard's rebounding ability is mostly due to his legs or mostly due to his long arms.
Here is the pumpkin, laided out on Aunt Vision having a little drink during the game.
These pictures are pretty bad, partly because of the zoom and mostly because I can't be still during the game. The pictures of Willard's team in the red jerseys are from last night. We played a much smaller team and more like we are used to seeing, size wise.
This is the team we played this morning. Willard's readying for the jump ball. The ref in the foreground was about 6' 4". Funnily enough, Willard got a hand on the ball and almost tipped it!
Here is Willard standing beside another guy he had to defend against under the basket. It was tough work.
Needless to say, Willard had a bit of difficulty under the basket blocking this dude out and rebounding this morning.
I took this shot this morning to highlight the difference in size between some of the teams playing in the tournament. Willard's team is in the white jerseys. The red team was eliminated from the winner's bracket by the same team we played yesterday.
